I have been having an extremely busy and exciting fall, November has been great.
I was invited as a cosplay guest to a concert put on by the Orchestra of Video Game Music and the Orchestra of Movie Music (write up here). The concert was fantastic and I am super excited to go to their next concert <3 Here's a video that was filmed of one of their songs goo.gl/Jb3dtT
(I'm the Yuna)
Also attended Bakuretsu Con with Mae-Gwyn and Coreboy (on Youtube) on November 15th. Mae-Gwyn and I both cosplayed from Legend of Zelda, she wore Sheik and I wore my Princess Zelda. That evening we competed in the masquerade, to which she won Advanced walk-on and I won Advanced Craftsmanship!
In addition, my friend and I attended Ottawa's Pop Expo on the 23rd. I debuted my Lacus Clyne cosplay and my friend wore her SNK inspired Lolita costume. We met up with Bahamut Night Photography and Droo Photography and took some cosplay photos, which I'm quite excited to share XD
CURRENT PROGRESS:
Top Tier:
Eowyn from LOTR: The Two Towers
Working on this for the premiere of the final installation of The Hobbit, December 17th. I wasn't sure if it was going to come together but it's looking quite hopeful! I'm also going to be helping one of my friends put together a closet costume for him to wear to The Hobbit.
-Fabric, purchased: $20 (Super super sale price)
-Dress, begun.
-Underskirt, begun.
-Sleeves, not started
-Belt, not started
Secondary:
Queen Zelda from Hyrule Warriors
Very slow progress has been made on this project, I'm in no hurry though. I assume that I will probably be able to dedicate more attention to this costume over my Christmas holiday.
I’m not setting a deadline on this one.
-Bodice, Complete
-Chest armor, begun.
-Pauldrons, begun
Recently completed:
Lacus Clyne from Gundam: Seed/Destiny
Debuted at Pop Expo! I really like this cosplay; it's quite cute and it's easy to wear. Also it's really fun to have pink hair and eyebrows haha! I'm actually quite surprised how many people at the con recognized my character, I was positive no one would recognize Lacus. I'm looking forward to making more Anime cosplays in the future!
-Photo more to come (Bahamut Night Photography just sent me a folder, which I'll go through soon)
Other stuffs: I hope to attend Montreal's Mini Con on December 7th but that is not guaranteed because of family obligations. Other plans are that I'd still love to make a FemGanondorf cosplay! And I may be doing a RayEarth cosplay in 2015.
Cheers everyone!

Currents, Autumn 2015 and Thanks!
It’s been a shameful 9 months since I last graced you lovely people with an update, SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!
I just wanted to take a couple minutes to fill you in on my 2015 progress but mostly to say a big THANK YOU to every single one of my followers! This is kinda crazy butI started this DeviantArt account something like 6 years ago, initially it was to post my drawings and for a place to collect inspiration that id beyond compare here on Dev. Over these years my account has seen a lot of dry spells, and it’s gone from a primarily drawing account, to photography and now Cosplay. In the past two y
Connecting Online
Hey guys! I just wanted to take a moment to do a little journal about the various ways you can connect with me and my work online. There are SO many different social media sites and I don’t think I have ever really made it clear which ones I use.
***My primary interest is my facebook account: www.facebook.com/banditspurs
This is where I make my most up to date posts, almost all my WIPs go there and I LOVE page interaction, so please come follow me there if you like my stuff and say Hi!
**I am also on Tumblr: www.banditspurs.tumblr.com
I try to go a bit more in depth here as far as how my progress goes, I’ll often do a WIP write

CURRENT PROJECTS:
Top Tier:
I currently don’t have a project that I feel that rises above the rest in terms of ‘priority’; with the bulk of the cosplay season over, I feel like I can just putz along and hop from project to project as boredom and my tiny attention span see fit.
Secondary projects: (I have many)
Queen Zelda from Hyrule Warriors
Ohhh… I feel like the road to completing this project is going to be a long one; once you really started looking into this costume you can tell that it’s going to require a big effort. There are many aspects to this costume to which I have little experience so I reco
Post Otakuthon 2014
“Otakuthon is Quebec’s largest fan-run festival promoting anima, manga, related gaming and more”
I learned this year that Otakuthon, unlike the Comic Con franchise, is a predominantly volunteer organised event. This is quite impressive because (aside from some delays) I found that this convention was very well run, clean and safe. I’d like to take this time to applaud the efforts of every volunteer in action during the lead up, execution and wrap up of this event! This was my first time attending Otakuthon, in fact it was my first time attending an Anime-con of any kind. Otakuthon boasted a very invitin
